How technology helps in having a pain-free dental experience

We understand that for some people, going to the dentist can cause anxiety, especially if you've had a bad experience in the past. That's why we've put things in place to ensure your experience with us is the best experience you'll ever have at the dentist.

Our caring team will welcome you with warm smiles and make sure all of your needs are met during your appointment. As a newly fitted out practice in 2013, we have brand new equipment (we have also acquired new technology since then too!). Dr See is a firm believer in bringing science, technology, experience and qualifications together to help patients receive the best treatment, in terms of quality and care.

5 ways technology at Advanced Dentistry Sydney helps you have a pain-free dental experience:

1. Entertainment while having treatment:

Think of it more like Gold Class than a trip to the dentist. You'll be offered a wide range of movies and Netflix to choose from to watch on the ceiling TV while you listen through noise reducing headphones.

2. Ergonomically designed chairs:

All 3 treatment rooms are fitted out with top-of-the-line, ergonomically designed dental chairs by Sirona. This means your back is comfortably positioned and supported. We also offer a neck cushion to make it as relaxing an comfortable as possible. The temperature of the water used is also warm, it's little things like this that help make the experience a pleasant one.

3. Quiet equipment:

Thanks to the excellent German engineering by Sirona, the hand pieces we use are quiet and create a calming environment so you can relax and watch your favourite movie. #dentsplysirona

4. Efficient appointments rather than multiple:

Another way that technology helps create pain-free dental appointments is through convenience (as time out for appointments is a big pain-point too!). We have many things on-site, so there's often no need to be referred off-site to imagining centres or specialists. The appointments are efficient and don't require multiple back-and-fourths visits especially for treatment involving 3D imaging (CBCT cone beam) and Cerec technology (on-the-spot custom made crowns).

5. Modern medicine - sleep sedation:

Anti-anxiety tablets, inhalers and IV sedation are great options to take the edge off and sleep through dental treatment. These options are non-invasive and not general anesthetic - patients still breath on their own and can respond to requests from the dentist - but have no recollection of the procedure.
